History
With a certified staff that has more than 40 years of combined experience in providing prosthetic and orthotic care to the people of Hawaii, Advanced Prosthetics & Orthotics of the Pacific’s practitioners participate in continuing education to ensure they are trained in the most up-to-date technology and practices of the industry.
Its patient care staff and facility are ABC-certified, a distinction earned by practitioners and firms dedicated to providing the highest standard of clinical service. The Advanced Prosthetics & Orthotics team is committed to offering its expertise in craftsmanship and care to every patient and their family members. We meet with each patient to learn about individual lifestyle and rehabilitation goals and offer custom care in prosthetic or orthotic selection to help patients reach them.
Staff
The staff of Advanced Prosthetics & Orthotics is committed to providing efficient and courteous service to our patients and their families. With a focus on technology, certified staff participate regularly in in-service and continuing education programs to ensure patients are receiving the most up-to-date care in both fields.
George Newton
A native of Honolulu, George has been working in the prosthetic and orthotics field for 40 years. He received his training at Northwestern University, Cerritos College, Olive Harvey College, and UCLA-NYU P&O Program. George has been certified in prosthetics and orthotics since 1979.
Kai Newton
Kai was born and raised on the windward side of Oahu and graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science degree in prosthetics and orthotics in 2000. He completed residencies in both disciplines and successfully completed his national board exams in 2002 to obtain certification in prosthetics and orthotics.
Summer Contreras
Summer has been a member of the Advanced P&O team since its founding in 2005. Her years of experience in the fields of prosthetics and orthotics along with her compassion, dedication, and understanding help the front office to run smoothly and efficiently to the benefit of everyone who interacts with the firm.
